It’s time for Cafe-ERGO’s fall update! A lot has happened since the last post. I signed on with The Lionstone Group, a product placement firm and together we will get Cafe-ERGO produced and into various stores throughout the country. My representative traveled oversees to visit several manufacturing facilities in China and met with a manufactures liaison who coordinates production with the facility of our choice. Our liaison worked at Sears for over 20 years as the coffee cup buyer and is very excited to be working with us and loves Cafe-ERGO’s sleek design.
While this was going on, back in the States we started working on packaging. I submitted a design concept to the team. They took it and reworked the design. I was presented with several boxing concepts to chose from and I choose with the one based on of my concept. That being streamlined and contemporary, to match the cup.
As you can see, the “box” is really cool.
While we source out the packaging, we began compiling a master list of over 350 companies to contact and present Cafe-ERGO. These range from Mass Retailers, Independent, Private Label, and Specialty stores. Once the “teaser” information page is completed, the Lionstone sales reps will call on these companies and line up sales orders. With orders in hand, we will go to the manufactures and begin production with distribution in spring of 2018. By taking these steps, we will know exactly how many units to make for the store shelves.
So, while we have accomplished a lot these last few months, there is still a great deal of work to still do.
